I made a portrait of President Obama with the pen tool. I traced the image first then traced parts of the portrait to add my colors because for some reason, i couldn't paint my work. after that, I worked on the little details such as the wrinkles on his face and his clothing. Then after that I finished off be adding alittle bit of shading to the image by pen tooling out the shadows on the real image and then adjusting it to the portait.

The Free hand lasso tool can be used for many things. its for a loose selection, it is very hard to use for a defined selection. You have to start at a point and drag it out. Deselection is by pressing the esc button. there are many different types of lasso tools. There are of course, the lasso tool, the polygonal lasso tool, and the magnetic lasso tool. the polygonal is used for a defined selection. and the magnetic lasso tool helps the user to select something the user wants to select.

Smart Filter
I added three filters, and edited the opacity of each of them. I gave the image a little bit of an artistic look to it, like someone has painted it.
